DESCRIPTION:Tecumseh Lodge \nOrder of the Arrow\, Simon Kenton Council\, BSA \nOrdeal / Brotherhood Weekend \nAugust 16 – 18\, 2024 at Camp Oyo \nThis will be our second Ordeal of the season so come out and join us. We will need help in all areas to assist our new members on their voyage through the Order of the Arrow. \nWould you like to seal your membership in the OA by taking your Brotherhood? You can do it here for just an additional $25.00. If you took your Ordeal in 2023 or before you’re eligible. \nIf you are a new member that took your Ordeal in 2024 and would like to return to help at another ordeal this year\, you can do so for free. Just choose “OA New Member who took their ordeal this year” on the next page. It will be the last choice in the registration type menu.  \nIf you are a new candidate you MUST complete the written Candidate Registration Form which was mailed to you (or it is available from the Attachments box located to the right of this notice) and either mail it in at least 7 days before the event or bring it with you to the event. If you do not have this form you will NOT be permitted to attend the event. \nYou MUST have been elected into the OA by your Unit after October\, 2022 to be eligible to take your Ordeal and join the OA. \nQuestions? DESCRIPTION:NYLT Course 2\nWhere: Camp Oyo \nWhen:  June 2-8\, 2024 \nCost: $250 \nScouts must be 13 years of age or older and at least 1st Class to participate! \nNYLT is a 6-day experience based on the activities of a typical unit during a month of program. The course is a combination of classroom and practical exercises\, all taught by a youth-led staff\, modeling the best in leadership skills\, using the teaching E.D.G.E. \nThe course is about vision based team building with a wide variety of fun and challenging activities. The experience provides an opportunity for the participant to meet and develop teams from Crews\, Troops and Ships from all over the Council’s diverse membership. This experience should model those times in scouting\, school and future activities where it is required to form working teams from complete strangers\, and accomplish leadership training activities\, having fun while making permanent friends. \nRegister

DESCRIPTION:Frontier District Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS)\nIntroduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) gives adult leaders the practical knowledge they need to help Scouts to learn outdoor skills. The skills presented closely follow the Boy Scout Handbook and rank advancement requirements. All the skills from Tenderfoot to First Class are covered in this training. \nThis is a required training course for all Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmasters. It is also encouraged for anyone who will be participating on campouts regularly to consider taking this class.
