Director of Communications and Marketing

Are you a strategic communicator with a passion for community engagement and brand development? Scouting America in the Greater Columbus community is seeking a Director of Communications & Marketing to lead our marketing efforts and elevate the visibility of Scouting in our region.

This leadership role is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing and communications strategies that support membership growth, program awareness, and community impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of strategic marketing and communications plans for the Council including enhancing website and social media presence
  • Manage advertising, promotional activities, and public awareness campaigns.
  • Ensure consistent messaging and high-quality delivery across all platforms.
  • Supervise and develop a team of marketing and communications professionals.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to support events, initiatives, and special projects.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communications (required)
  • Experience: 5+ years in marketing, communications, or related field
  • Proven leadership and team management experience
  • Strong strategic planning and project management skills

Salary & Benefits

Offering a competitive salary range of $70,000-$85,000, based on experience and qualifications.
