2024 Wilderness First Aid

$100The Wilderness First Aid course provides an intensive 18+ hours of training covering injury assessment, rescuer safety, bleeding, shock, orthopedic injuries, long term patient care, and treatment with materials at hand during practice sessions.
When you are participating in outdoor activities that take you more than 1 hour away from medical care, wilderness first aid provides a significant difference in survival and effects of injuries.
The cost for the Wilderness First Aid course is $100 per person and you must attend both days from 8AM to 6PM each day. EACH STUDENT IS REQUIRED TO BRING THEIR BACKPACK PACKED FOR LAND BASE OUTDOOR ADVENTURES. BRING LUNCH, SNACKS, DRINKS, AND BE PREPARED TO BE OUTDOORS (no matter what the weather.)
Instruction is in a classroom setting with some sections held outdoors, so please plan accordingly and dress for the weather.
Certification includes:
Wilderness First Aid – 2 year
CPR\AED – Adult\Child and Infant – 2 year
This course is a requirement for units traveling to a BSA National High Adventure such as Philmont, Northern Tier, SeaBase, Summit or participating in some high adventure activities when medical help may be delayed.
Participants MUST be 14 years of age or older in order to participate, at the time of the course!
Course is limited to 20 participants (first come first serve).
