Eight Eagles Ready to Change the World

Pursuing the rank of Eagle Scout can be a daunting task, but eight young men from Marysville High School are celebrating two achievements – high school graduation and earning their Eagle Scout rank.

Geoffrey Armstrong, AJ Grose, CJ Grose, TJ Grose, Gavin Lendon, Patrick Lendon, Parker Reese and Dustin Webb weren’t prepared for facing a pandemic while in the height of their high school and Scouting careers. Instead of dwelling on what they were missing, these Scouts adapted and improvised to overcome the obstacles in their way.

“I know that these other Eagle Scouts faced similar challenges with completing this achievement in the chaos of 2020 and we overcame it to reach our goals,” said Parker. “I’m honored to be a part of this group.”

“The most exciting thing about graduating with seven other Eagle Scouts is knowing that we had to go through numerous obstacles to get to where we are now,” said Patrick. “I have no doubt in my mind that the eight of us will lead great examples.”

“I’m excited to see the positive impacts we will leave on our communities,” said Gavin.
