Have an Adventure at CFR!

Brownsea Program

The Brownsea Island Adventure is a specialized program for scouts who are in their first year of scouting, often having just crossed over from Cub Scouting, though first year scouts of all ages are encouraged to participate in the program.

The program is built around the idea that rather than focusing on just completing requirements, a scout should be well trained in their skills, and the completion of rant requirements is only part of the adventure.  At the end of the week, hard-working Brownsea scouts will walk away with a strong foundation in basic scouting skills, several requirements from Tenderfoot to First Class, and a merit badge of two to along with it.

Natural Rock Rappelling

Falling Rock is fortunate to have a natural rappelling site as well as a 40+ foot climbing /rappelling wall.  All participants must use camp climbing/rappelling equipment.  NO personal gear is permitted.

More Challenging- provides older scouts who may be too skilled for normal camp activities a more challenging experience.

Multi-angles- includes hiking, camping, orienteering, mountain biking and climbing.

Second Year Program- goes beyond fulfilling merit badge requirments.

Requirements- must have completed the Climbing MB.  Wilderness Survival MB is strongly recommended but not required.

Lakefront Aquatics

Camp Falling Rock is proud to have its own man-made lake.  We offer several boating merit badges as well as Kayaking BSA.  Any individual interested in participating in aquatic activities must pass a BSA swim test.

Merit Badges Offered:  Canoeing MB, Rowing MB, Motor Boating MB, and Kayaking MB
